Arctic Ravn, a Finnish defence technology company, has raised funding commitments of 2.5 million euros in just five days – significantly more than the two million euros originally targeted. The capital is to be used to expand production and further develop its drone electronics, specifically electronic components for drones.

More than one million euros has already been invested in in-house production capacity for electronic speed controllers (ESC). Several tens of thousands of these units are to be produced by the end of 2026; according to the company, customers have already reserved a considerable share of them.

After that, production of flight control computers (flight controllers, FC) is also set to grow. In the long term, Arctic Ravn is aiming for a capacity of up to two million printed circuit boards per year.

CEO Matti Vansén points to the pace: “Investors came on board within a few days, even though we have not yet officially launched a single product”. According to him, follow-up orders and talks with leading defence companies show that there is demand for high-performance European drone electronics.

Drone electronics without non-European supply chains

All Arctic Ravn products are developed and manufactured in Finland. According to the company, the components come exclusively from Europe and from NATO partner states. The aim is less dependence on supply chains outside Europe for critical drone components.
