About Airwayz
Israeli developer of the OVERWATCH airspace command-and-control software, which links counter-drone sensors and effectors and has been certified for SAPIENT interoperability by NATO's NCIA.
Airwayz was founded in 2019 by Israeli Air Force veterans with backgrounds in air traffic management and command and control. Co-founder and chief executive Eyal Zor is a former airborne controller; executive chairman Yaron Rosen is a brigadier general in the reserve and former chief of the IDF Cyber Staff. The company has offices in Tel Aviv, Amstelveen in the Netherlands and Lexington, Massachusetts.
Its OVERWATCH platform is a command-and-control and airspace governance layer that fuses data from radar, RF, electro-optical, acoustic and other sensors into one air picture of authorised and hostile manned and unmanned aircraft and can task effectors. It is integrated with TAK and complies with the ASTERIX standard. In May 2026 the NATO Communications and Information Agency presented Airwayz with a SAPIENT interoperability certificate. At NATO's TIE26 counter-UAS exercise at Marknesse in the Netherlands, OVERWATCH served as the C2 system of a 13-nation team, linking 46 nodes and around 50 sensor and effector systems.
Airwayz says it runs a joint development programme with the Israel Defense Forces on a low-altitude airspace system. In the United States, distributor NOBLE and the Miami Police Department used OVERWATCH for airspace security at the FIFA Fan Fest during the 2026 World Cup. On the civil side, the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel licensed Airwayz as a U-space service provider in December 2023, and the company takes part in Israel's National Drone Initiative.
