About Alpine Eagle

Alpine Eagle GmbH was founded in Munich in 2023 by Jan-Hendrik Boelens, formerly CTO of Volocopter and Quantum Systems, and sensor-fusion specialist Timo Breuer. The company builds airborne counter-UAS systems for military and security forces and has teams in Munich, London and Karlsruhe.

Its Sentinel system moves drone detection and defeat into the air: networked aerial platforms carry radar, electro-optical and infrared sensors and interceptors, closing the loop from detection to engagement. The Sentinel-OS software layer links these elements, works with third-party hardware and connects to battle management systems and ground-based effectors.

The Bundeswehr received first systems for operational trials in 2024, and Sentinel has been deployed with Ukrainian forces. In 2025 Alpine Eagle raised 10.25 million euros in seed funding led by IQ Capital, and in 2026 it announced a production facility near Munich for its own interceptors.
