About Artron
Artron Tasarım Üretim Elektronik Tic. A.Ş. was founded in 2011 as a supplier of avionics subsystems to the aerospace industry. The company is based in the HAB OSB industrial zone in Kahramankazan, Ankara, and covers electronic hardware design, embedded software, FPGA design, system engineering, manufacturing on its own SMT line, environmental testing and obsolescence management.
Its product areas include flight control computers, inertial measurement units, avionics communication boards, store management systems, telemetry systems, tactical data links, flight termination systems and power distribution units. Artron also develops electronic safe and arm devices (ESAD) and fuzes for air-launched munitions, designed to STANAG 4187, MIL-STD-331 and MIL-STD-1316. The Cygnus family of system-on-modules is based on AMD Xilinx Zynq-7000 and Zynq UltraScale+ devices. According to the defence directory Army Technology, the company is certified to AS9100D.
In its sponsor profile for the SMi Loitering Munitions 2026 conference in London, Artron describes itself as a defence technology company focused on munition systems, safety-critical electronics and platform integration. It names ILGAR, a man-portable loitering munition described as in service, as the lead product of its portfolio, together with an AOP-4187-compliant ESAD for loitering munitions that it says is in operational use. Trade press reports from IDEF 2023 attribute the development of ILGAR to the Turkish company Spira Teknoloji; the relationship between the two companies is not publicly documented.
