About Autonomous Engineering

Hardware and technology company with a main office in the United States and R&D sites in Ukraine and Slovenia that develops modular FPV drones such as Bober and the AD-160M FPV repeater.

Autonomous Engineering, Inc. is a hardware and technology company with its main office in the United States and research and development sites in Ukraine and Slovenia, the latter operating as Autonomous Engineering SLO. It develops modular unmanned aerial systems with swappable optics, communications and payloads, UGV chassis and payloads for harsh conditions, an autonomy stack for perception, navigation and mission logic, and custom integration of sensors and communications.

Its main product family is Bober, a modular FPV platform in 7-inch and 10-inch versions with six optical modules, including day, night, thermal and hybrid sensors, and two data-link options. The Bober 1-20 is marketed as an FPV loitering munition and tactical UAS for armed ISR and attacks on armoured vehicles and soft targets, with 40 mm and 60 mm ammunition, an optional fibre-optic guidance and a redundant three-band data link for operation under electronic warfare. According to the company, the drone, also referred to as Beaver 1-20, passed government testing in Ukraine and received a NATO stock number. A brochure for the Bober 1-20 names TIMTEC Defense in Vipava, Slovenia, as manufacturer.

The AD-160M is an analogue-to-digital FPV repeater that relays the video of existing analogue FPV equipment over the digital data link of a carrier platform, with a total latency of 200 to 300 ms and up to four receivers per air unit. In 2026 the company announced a further FPV product called Ježek.
