About Bastionne

Bastionne AG, based in Küsnacht near Zurich, develops what it calls sovereignty infrastructure for critical systems. Its retrofit layer is designed for unmanned systems (UxS), AI, command-and-control platforms and tactical systems, and is deployed alongside existing equipment instead of replacing it.

The layer continuously and independently verifies the identity, integrity and intent of every device, command, communication and data exchange before it reaches the protected platform. According to the company, this keeps operators in control during cyber attacks, supply-chain compromise and degraded connectivity. Threats it addresses include hijacked UAVs following compromised firmware, weaponised UGVs executing unauthorised or injected commands and tactical communications that expose operator identities, locations or mission data.

Bastionne can be embedded as software, run as virtual infrastructure in private, cloud or hybrid environments, or installed as dedicated hardware nodes, including in air-gapped and industrial control networks. The aim is to let organisations keep using domestic or foreign platforms while maintaining sovereign operational control. The name comes from the French bastionné, meaning fortified with bastions.
