About D-Fend Solutions
D-Fend Solutions develops non-kinetic counter-UAS technology and is headquartered in Ra'anana, Israel, with offices in McLean (Virginia), London and Tokyo. Its EnforceAir systems detect, locate and identify drones in protected airspace and then take control of them by RF cyber-takeover, directing them to land in a designated zone instead of jamming or destroying them. The product family includes EnforceAir2 with tactical, vehicle, maritime, stationary and backpack kits, the multilayer EnforceAir PLUS, the EnforceAir UX operator interface, EnforceAir Analytics and the MSC2 multi-sensor command and control system, as well as training and support services.
According to the company, EnforceAir is used by military, law enforcement and homeland security agencies, including at forward operating bases, borders and ports. In October 2022 the US Department of Defense's Joint Counter-small UAS Office named and recommended EnforceAir for installation protection as a subcomponent of SAIC's Valkyrie C2 system, after an evaluation at Yuma Proving Ground. The US Defense Innovation Unit selected the system in 2019 and 2020, and in November 2024 D-Fend signed an agreement with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division for counter-drone testing. A version of EnforceAir2 for maritime and naval use followed in February 2025.
Motorola Solutions completed its acquisition of D-Fend Solutions for 1.5 billion US dollars on 20 August 2026. Zohar Halachmi remains CEO of D-Fend and also leads the counter-drone business of Motorola Solutions, which plans to integrate the technology into its public safety ecosystem. According to Motorola Solutions, D-Fend's technology is deployed in more than 30 countries.
