About Dedrone

Dedrone was founded in Kassel in 2014 by Jörg Lamprecht, Ingo Seebach and René Seeber. The company later moved its headquarters to the United States, while its German subsidiary, Dedrone GmbH, remains based in Kassel with development and production activities.

Its core product is DedroneTracker.AI, an AI-based software platform and command-and-control system for detecting, tracking and classifying drones. The company describes the software as hardware-agnostic; it combines Dedrone's own RF sensors with radar, PTZ cameras, acoustic sensors and Remote ID. Configurations range from fixed-site installations and the zero-install DedroneCityWide service to mobile trailers and the man-portable DedronePortable kit.

For mitigation, Dedrone offers the DedroneDefender smart jammer. With DedroneBeyond the company also addresses drone-as-first-responder operations for public safety agencies. US company Axon completed its acquisition of Dedrone in October 2024.
