About Granta Autonomy

Granta Autonomy (UAB Granta Autonomy) is a Lithuanian drone company headquartered in Vilnius and led by CEO Gediminas Guoba. It began developing unmanned aircraft after Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014; the Lithuanian Armed Forces ordered its first systems in 2018. The company is an official supplier to the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) and a member of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Association.

Its main reconnaissance system is the hand-launched Hornet XR, an electric ISR UAV with a wingspan of 1.6 metres, a weight of 2.9 kilograms and an endurance of three hours, designed to operate autonomously even when radio and GPS signals are jammed. In 2025 the company unveiled the X-Wing, a vertical take-off loitering munition with a 4-kilogram warhead. It also builds GA-FPV quadcopters, its own digital data links and, under the Granta Imaging name, small stabilised EO/IR gimbals.

Granta Autonomy supplies Ukraine's armed forces, where the Hornet XR has been in use since autumn 2023 and the GA-FPV serves with several units. In September 2024 the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence ordered FPV drones worth one million euros, and in May 2025 the company signed a letter of intent with Rheinmetall Electronics. Production takes place in Lithuania.
