IABG Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH is a technology and consulting company headquartered in Ottobrunn near Munich. Defence is one of its core sectors, and its services range from strategic analysis and systems consulting to testing and qualification.
For the protection of sites and critical infrastructure against drones, IABG offers consulting based on modelling and simulation in three steps: a threat analysis that defines the relevant drone spectrum, a digital twin of the protected object including vegetation and buildings, and a simulation-based optimisation of where sensors and countermeasures should be placed before procurement and installation. The work is handled by a dedicated counter-UAS team.
IABG has also carried out test campaigns to NATO standards for warheads of the German drone and munitions manufacturer Donaustahl.
