About Instagrid
Instagrid GmbH was founded in 2018 by Sebastian Berning and Andreas Sedlmayr and is based in Ludwigsburg. The company builds portable battery power systems for professional off-grid use.
Its military variant GO MIL delivers 3,600 W continuous and up to 18 kW peak power, weighs 21 kg, is rated for -32 to 60 °C and IP65, and operates silently with a minimal heat signature. Instagrid names charging drone batteries for ISR missions, supplying counter-UAS systems and powering electronic warfare payloads such as jammers among its applications; the product page gives a runtime of about 38 minutes with a SkyBarrier GNSS jammer.
GO MIL has a NATO stock number. The Bundeswehr selected it for its 2 kW-class hybrid tactical energy system (Satz 2 kW), together with Instagrid's MIL LINK switching unit and a Zarges transport solution. The unit was launched at Milipol 2025 and presented to the German market at Enforce Tac 2026.
