About North Vector Dynamics
North Vector Dynamics (NVD) is a Canadian-owned defence technology company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, specialising in precision interception, autonomy and advanced propulsion. Its flagship product is the CM-70, an ITAR-free, precision-guided interceptor missile against Group I–III drones. According to the company, it weighs 3 kg, is 0.9 m long, reaches 900 km/h and a range of 3.5 km, and uses semi-active laser guidance with AI-enhanced terminal guidance for GPS- and comms-denied environments.
The CM-70 can be launched from ground, vehicle or aerial platforms, including a portable tactical launcher. With support from Canada's Department of National Defence and the University of Calgary, NVD also works on hypersonic and detonation propulsion. In 2026 the Czech defence group CSG took a minority stake and signed a memorandum of understanding on European manufacturing, and NVD closed a Series A of more than USD 20 million.
