About ODU

ODU GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1942 by Otto Dunkel in Mühldorf am Inn, Bavaria, Germany, where the group is still headquartered. The company is family-owned and employs around 2,800 people worldwide, about 1,500 of them in Mühldorf, with further production sites and twelve sales subsidiaries abroad.

The core product is the connector: ODU manufactures circular connectors, modular rectangular connectors, push-pull systems, electrical spring contacts and complete cable assemblies, with a high degree of in-house production. The springtac contact patented in 1955 remains a signature technology.

In the military and security segment ODU supplies rugged, lightweight connectors for soldier-worn electronics, radios, C4ISR systems and unmanned vehicles, where weight, sealing and mating cycles matter. The company exhibits at Enforce Tac and other defence fairs in the German-speaking region.
