About Perivallon Technologies
Vienna-based start-up building a dense European network of sensor nodes for the airspace up to 1,000 m above ground, with dual-use data on weather, GNSS interference and passively detected drones.
Perivallon Technologies FlexCo was founded in Vienna at the end of 2024 and has a wholly owned German subsidiary, Perivallon Technologies GmbH, in Utting am Ammersee. Its co-founders are Russell E. Perry, Boris Kersten, who is managing director, and Stefan Schneider. The company is a member of the Austrian Security & Defence Industry Group (ASW).
Perivallon is building a decentralised network of solar- and battery-powered smart nodes that monitors the near-ground airspace up to 1,000 m above ground level. The nodes fuse signals from space-based systems, atmospheric sensors and passive RF sources. The data is to support AI-based weather nowcasting, the detection of GNSS spoofing and jamming, and passive, emission-free detection of so-called dark drones by AI-based RF signal analysis, which the company links to the EU drone wall initiative and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The company plans around 35,000 stations across Europe and sells network coverage and data rather than sensors or software licences. According to the Austrian start-up platform brutkasten, a test network of 35 stations covering about 330 km² has been operating in Switzerland, and the European rollout is to follow a financing round.
