About Phantom Defense

Ukrainian defence technology company that builds an integrated counter-drone system of electronic warfare, radar, interceptor drones, net launchers and a C2 platform for Ukraine's Defence Forces.

Phantom Defense is a Ukrainian defence technology company that was set up around 2024 and employs engineers alongside former soldiers with combat experience. It develops what it calls an integrated ecosystem for countering unmanned threats, covering detection, electronic warfare, kinetic interception and command and control. In October 2026 the company reported more than 850 employees and nine production sites with a combined capacity of more than 100 interceptor drones and 200 electronic warfare devices per day.

The Specter family of jammers ranges from the high-power Specter Pro with frequency-selective jamming to compact units for positions and vehicles, complemented by the Sector 8 stationary directional system and the Mockingbird FPV video jammer. Skydarix is a 360-degree radar that detects fixed-wing UAVs at up to 20 km and small drones at up to 7 km, and Streamhunter intercepts drone video signals. For kinetic defence the company offers the multirotor Blade interceptor against Shahed-type drones, with a top speed of up to 310 km/h, and the fixed-wing Balaban, which can patrol for up to 2.5 hours at up to 250 km/h within a 70 km radius; both have been codified by Ukraine's Ministry of Defence. The C2 Kupol platform combines sensors and effectors in one interface and supports the SAPIENT protocol.

In October 2026 Phantom Defense acquired the developer of the KARAKURT net launchers, which are carried by drones to capture other drones; according to the company, military units used more than 50,000 KARAKURT kits within six months. It has added Mangal, an AI-controlled net-launching system with six launchers for protecting vehicles and positions at close range. Phantom Defense's electronic warfare systems were also tested in the United States during the Gauntlet II phase of the Drone Dominance programme.
