About PIDSO

PIDSO – Propagation Ideas & Solutions GmbH was founded in 2010 in Vienna by Christoph Kienmayer, who had been working on lightweight antenna concepts since 2006. The company is located in Vienna's 23rd district and has been part of the German Riedel Communications group since 2017. It holds several patents and is certified to the aerospace quality standard EN 9100.

The product range covers blade, button, stick, horn and peel-and-stick antennas as well as RF cable assemblies and tracking antenna systems, with a particular focus on carbon-fibre designs that are considerably lighter than conventional aircraft antennas. Typical applications are unmanned aerial systems, manned aviation, motorsport and industrial IoT.

Customers and partners named by the company include Schiebel, for whose Camcopter S-100 PIDSO supplies lightweight antennas, as well as Diamond Aircraft, Hensoldt, Silvus Technologies and BMW Research. PIDSO also took part in EU-funded research on mobile tracking antenna systems for remotely piloted aircraft.
