Podkrižnik

Podkrižnik d.o.o., based in Ljubno ob Savinji, heads the Podkrižnik group, which also includes ORA drive GmbH in Germany and the electric marine drive brand e'dyn. Its history goes back to 1987, when founder Iztok Podkrižnik began making unique hunting weapons; the company later moved into special machines for gear milling, precision metal and plastic components and finally the series production of drives and drive systems. The group reports around 300 employees and is certified to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.

As a development and production partner for OEMs, Podkrižnik covers mechatronic drive systems and gearboxes, hydraulic modules and precision metal, plastic and hybrid components, from concept through testing to automated series production, and also produces complete products under customers' brands. Its own products include electric powertrains for vehicles and vessels.

In June 2026 the company presented the U-TGP-1.2, an unmanned ground vehicle developed and produced in-house. The dual-use platform is intended for defence and security tasks as well as logistics, infrastructure monitoring and operations in difficult terrain. It has electric all-wheel drive with a generator for extended range, carries up to 500 kg, offers a 360° camera view, can be operated remotely or autonomously and is built modularly to integrate mission systems.
