About Pro Patria Electronics

Pro Patria Electronics Ltd. is a Hungarian defence electronics company based in Budapest. Its portfolio comprises the PGSR-3i Beagle man-portable and tower-mounted ground surveillance radars, the GASR-3D Terrier ground and air surveillance radar, the Pointer passive radar, the BORDERCAM electro-optical camera, reconnaissance and multisensor platforms and the ADAMS sensor management software.

Beagle radars have been ordered by the Polish Armed Forces and, through Elbit Systems UK as prime contractor, by the British Army, with Pro Patria as manufacturing subcontractor. In 2025 the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments contracted the company to supply passive radar systems intended to improve the detection of low-flying objects such as drones; they are to be installed along Estonia's border with Russia.

Passive radar does not emit signals of its own, which makes the sensor itself harder to detect.
