About Robotics Centre
Robotics Centre was co-founded in 2009 by Charles Barlow, a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, and is based in Ottawa, Ontario. The company describes itself as a builder and integrator of systems that combines third-party platforms with its own engineering, manufacturing, training and lifecycle support. In September 2026 it announced BDC financing and a move to 365 March Road.
Its own products include the Canadian-made Shuriken family of FPV drones, the Kukri FPV drone and the LONGBOW heavy lift UAV. At the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh it presented Kallik, a precision strike unmanned aerial system with electric propulsion, a stated flight time of up to 90 minutes, an operating radius of 50 to 100 km and a warhead of up to 6 kg. The company also supplies and supports the Skydio X10D, the SkyRanger R70 and the THeMIS unmanned ground vehicle.
Robotics Centre has an office in Ukraine and works with Ukrainian unmanned systems companies, with regular staff exchanges between Kyiv and Ottawa. In April 2026 its subsidiary Tungsten Collaborative secured funding for a drone manufacturing project.
