About Runiqo

Danish software company from Odense whose vendor-agnostic Runiqo C2 Platform underpins the modular Heimdal counter-UAS system as well as surveillance and multi-domain situational awareness solutions.

Runiqo ApS was founded in Odense in 2022 and is led by its co-owners Morten K. Funder-Schmidt (CEO) and Bo Thorsen (CTO). The company develops command-and-control software that connects sensors, data, communications and effectors into a common, continuously updated operational picture. It says it develops its systems together with operators, defence organisations, technology partners and industry experts.

Its main defence product is Heimdal, a modular multi-domain counter-UAS system built on the Runiqo C2 Platform and covering the chain from detection, tracking and identification to decision and effect. Heimdal fuses GPS, video, radar, sensor and telemetry data across land, sea and air and can integrate radar, satellite and drone-based detectors as well as jamming, net and light effectors, with a human decision-maker kept in the loop. It is offered as Heimdal Stationary for permanent installations and as the transportable Heimdal Mobile, developed with JA Solutions to protect moving assets.

The platform is vendor-agnostic and is designed to add new sensors only where existing infrastructure leaves coverage gaps. Further products are NSS, a unified surveillance system for complex operational environments, and Orion, which fuses data from air, land, sea and space into a common operational picture.
