About Six Robotics

Six Robotics AS is an Oslo-based software company registered in October 2023. It was founded by its CEO Christian Fredrik Eggesbø, a former operator in the Norwegian special forces who later worked as a project manager at NORSOF and at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI). In 2024 FFI concluded a licence and cooperation agreement with the start-up to industrialise the drone swarm technology it had developed: software that allows a single operator to control several surveillance and attack drones, which plan their tasks autonomously and divide them among themselves. According to the company, almost 90 people worked for it in mid-2026.

Its platform-independent autonomy software Valkyrie lets unmanned systems operate as a team, adapt and carry out missions together, with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance as a main application. In October 2025 the Norwegian Army selected the Valkyrie drone swarm for a concept and technology development pilot programme across several army units; the system had previously been tested in exercises with Norway, Sweden and Finland. Under a memorandum of understanding signed with Teleplan Globe in November 2025, Valkyrie is to be integrated into the FACNAV C4ISR suite, and in March 2026 Six Robotics and STARK agreed to integrate their systems for recce-strike missions in which ISR drones provide target data for loitering munitions. The company has also signed agreements with Robot Aviation and AEVEX Aerospace.

In June 2026 Six Robotics raised €12 million in equity in a round led by DTCP Defence, with Denmark's export and investment fund EIFO and the Copenhagen venture capital firm Scale Capital participating. The funds are intended for product development, deployments in European and allied defence markets and a larger team.
