About SKY LAB
Ukrainian private manufacturer from Kyiv that builds the Sirko-S1 unmanned ground vehicle and mission modules for mine-laying, demining and logistics for Ukraine's security and defence forces.
SKY LAB, also known as SkyLab UA, describes itself as an independent private Ukrainian military technology manufacturer that designs and produces systems for Ukraine's security and defence forces, private defence companies and partner organisations. Its research and development office is in Kyiv, with production in western Ukraine. The company began developing its flagship Sirko ground robot in 2023.
The Sirko-S1 is a four-wheel electric unmanned ground vehicle weighing 80 kg without battery, with a working payload of 130 kg (200 kg maximum). It can be controlled over several links, including RFD, LRS, LTE, LoRa, Silvus and Starlink, with a stated signal range of up to 8 km, extendable to 13 km, or up to 50 km via Starlink. Configurations cover logistics, towing, demining and a manipulator. Mission modules include remote mine-laying cassettes for TM-62, TM-124 and PTM-U anti-tank mines, the Skif manipulator, an electronic warfare carrier, a trailer with airless wheels and the TROPIYA demining system, in which a rocket deploys a detonating cord to clear a path through a minefield.
In June 2024 the 6th Battalion of the Azov Brigade received Sirko-S1 vehicles funded by volunteers; according to reports at the time the robot had entered serial production. The company also develops a strike multicopter, the Shoolika mk6.
