About SPARK Technologies

SPARK Technologies is based at Traleru iela in Riga and sells its vessels under the SPARK Boats brand. The company, founded and led by Oto Dzenis, has joined the technology cluster of the Port of Riga.

SPARK Bot is a fully electric autonomous USV with a carbon-fibre hull, shallow draught and AI-based vision and navigation. Its electric water-jet drive keeps acoustic and thermal signatures low. The company lists surveillance and patrol, inspection, search and rescue, marine monitoring, seabed mapping and tactical missions as uses, alongside variants for passenger transport, UAV launch and the deployment of AUVs and ROVs. With Eprons ROV, also based at the Port of Riga, it is working on equipping SPARK Bot platforms with underwater drones.

The civil range includes the ST 330 Classic, an electric, jet-driven tender for six people with Zerojet propulsion. Digitalisation of the company’s processes is supported by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) with Recovery Fund financing.
