About Starcopter
starcopter GmbH is a Braunschweig-based manufacturer of electric unmanned aircraft systems, managed by founder Henner Niebuhr. In 2023 the company closed a seven-figure financing round led by BraWo Capital Group to expand its team and certify its drone for the EU market.
Its main product is the HIGHDRA, a six-rotor drone that runs on Auterion software and is C3-certified according to the company. Starcopter states a flight time of 35 minutes with a 7.5 kg payload and develops its own batteries. Mission-specific sensor pods include LiDAR, RGB cameras, infrared and multi- or hyperspectral sensors for surveying, inspection, mapping and environmental monitoring.
Rather than selling the aircraft, Starcopter offers the HIGHDRA as a service with its own pilots and sensors, billed per project or per flight hour.
