About Stridar Kosovo

Stridar Kosovo LLC, based in Prishtina, develops and builds modular unmanned ground vehicles for logistics, clearance and mobility tasks in military, civil and commercial use. Its SideRunner UGV is the result of a strategic partnership with the American company Stridar Inc. and is designed in the USA and manufactured in Kosovo. The start of production in Kosovo was announced in summer 2026 at a ceremony in Prishtina attended by the US Chargé d'Affaires, with exports planned to Europe, the United States and the Middle East.

SideRunner is a wheeled four-wheel electric UGV controlled from a laptop or ground control station and operated by a crew of two. It carries payloads such as ISR and communications systems, logistics loads, demining tools and C-UAS equipment, and mission modules can be exchanged in five minutes or less. The Standard version carries up to 300 lb on roads, the NDAA-compliant SideRunner Pro up to 500 lb, with endurance of around eight to ten hours at rated payload and hot-swappable batteries.

According to Stridar, the platform was developed from lessons learned in Ukraine and Asia, has been deployed there and has gone through validation exercises with a mechanised division of the US Army. The vehicles are designed to be repaired in the field and to work with third-party sensors, autonomy stacks, communications and command-and-control systems; reconnaissance, surveillance, tactical resupply, casualty evacuation and search and rescue are named as applications.
