About Teledyne FLIR

Teledyne FLIR is the thermal imaging and sensing business of Teledyne Technologies, which acquired FLIR Systems in 2021. The company is headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon, and has supplied mission-critical technology to the US government and allied nations for more than 40 years.

Its defence unit Teledyne FLIR Defense builds surveillance sensors for air, land and maritime use as well as unmanned systems, including the Black Hornet nano drone, which originated with the Norwegian company Prox Dynamics acquired in 2016, and unmanned ground vehicles.

In 2024 Teledyne FLIR Defense unveiled the Rogue 1 loitering munition, which it offers for the US Marine Corps Organic Precision Fires-Light programme. The company also supplies counter-UAS systems that detect and defeat small drones.
