Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry (UCDI)

Umbrella body of Ukrainian defence industry associations, including those of unmanned systems and maritime drone manufacturers, that represents private arms producers towards the state and abroad.

The Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry (UCDI, in Ukrainian Ukrainska rada zbroiariv) began work in February 2025 as a platform of private Ukrainian defence manufacturers. Its members are industry associations rather than individual companies; the founding members included the League of Defence Enterprises of Ukraine, Ukrainian Robotic Forces, the association of electronic warfare manufacturers, Techosystem Defense, the Defence Alliance of Ukraine, ARMADA, the association of manufacturers of unmanned systems and associated technologies, and the investment fund D3 Venture Capital. The council's website today also lists the Association of Maritime Drones, the Independent Association of UAV Schools of Ukraine and the UCDI Investor Club, and puts the joint ecosystem at more than 400 companies.

UCDI represents Ukrainian arms producers towards the state on policy and regulation, supports export and market access, including the work of the Export Support Office, and connects manufacturers with military units so that technologies can be adapted to combat feedback. Internationally it represents the industry towards foreign governments, industry associations and investors and coordinates the presence of Ukrainian manufacturers at trade fairs under ZBROYA, the national brand of the Ukrainian defence industry introduced in February 2025. In 2025 it signed cooperation agreements with the Danish defence industry association DI FoS and the British trade association ADS Group.

Oleksandr Kamyshin, a former Minister for Strategic Industries, chaired the board from its foundation. In October 2026 Maksym Vasylchenko, co-founder and CEO of the unmanned ground vehicle maker Tencore, took over as chairman, while Kamyshin remains on the board responsible for international and investment cooperation. Ihor Fedirko is the council's chief executive.
