About Unmanned Defense Systems (UDS)
Unmanned Defense Systems (UDS) is a Lithuanian defence technology company based in Vilnius. It develops unmanned systems for ISTAR missions (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance), precision strike and command and control. Its portfolio includes the FORECASTER ISTAR drone, the HAULER multi-purpose UAV, the AVENGER 5 long-range loitering munition, which the company lists as in development, and the SWARM C2 software platform. According to UDS, the systems have an open architecture and can be integrated into third-party platforms and battle management systems.
In 2024 UDS raised €3.2 million in a funding round co-led by Coinvest Capital. At that time its UAVs were reported to be in use with the Lithuanian and Ukrainian armed forces; according to the company, the Lithuanian Military Police uses UDS drones for ISR operations.
In October 2026 UDS opened a production facility in Ukraine through a joint venture called UDS Ukraine, which is responsible for product implementation and operator training and advises organisations that use UDS drones. UDS is led by co-founder and CEO Vytenis Buzas; UDS Ukraine is headed by its CEO and co-owner Stepan Veselovskyi.
