About UXV Technologies

UXV Technologies was founded in 2014 by Steven Friberg and Johan Nielsen as UAV Components, a supplier of long-range UHF communication systems and components for unmanned aircraft. The company was later renamed UXV Technologies; the Danish company UXV Technologies ApS is registered in Ishøj near Copenhagen, where the company also has its largest production facility. In 2024 it opened a US office with production in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, operated by UXV Technologies, Inc. The company states that it employs more than 150 people and has delivered more than 10,000 systems.

Its main product line is the Soldier Robotic Controller (SRoC), a modular multi-domain ground control station for unmanned air, land and sea systems. The SRoC 7" Android version is built around a Panasonic Toughbook FZ-S1 tablet, meets MIL-STD-810H and IP65 and is compatible with the US Army's Nett Warrior ecosystem; further versions include a Windows model, the one-handed SRoC SingleGrip and the SRoC S26, based on a Samsung S26 smartphone and introduced in October 2026. The controllers use Swappable Radio Modules (SRM) with more than 30 radio options. The range also includes the earlier Aeronav ground control station, Nett Warrior hubs, a Soldier Borne Compute Module and Optroxa stabilised gimbal cameras such as the GMB-450.

According to the company, its work with the US Defense Innovation Unit from 2019 brought its first US government contracts and led to the development of the SRoC and the SRM radios. UXV Technologies describes itself as a developer and manufacturer for defence robotics and uncrewed systems, and its published case studies cover integrations with AEVEX's Atlas, Robosys Autonomy Solutions and Allen Control Systems.
