About VALOFLY
VALOFLY GmbH, based in Einbeck in Lower Saxony, develops and produces tether systems for OEM integration, allowing manufacturers of uncrewed systems to extend their platforms with unlimited flight time and data transmission via fibre optics. Its solutions are integrated into existing systems by several drone manufacturers, including AirRobot, CiS and Quantum Systems (MIKADO and the Vector AI multicopter).
The product range comprises the Tether Vehicle Module (TVM) for the aircraft and the Tether Ground Stations TGS rackTether and TGS microTether. Actively powered drone systems can serve as radio relays for TETRA or 5G, as reconnaissance systems or as light masts, making drones part of highly mobile, nomadic infrastructure. Tool-free switching between battery operation and tethered operation with the TVM is meant to ensure seamless use while keeping training effort low through a common system across different aircraft.
Hensoldt showed its tethered multirole UAS Aerion Ray with the TGS rackTether in a live demonstration at ILA Berlin 2026, and the TGS rackTether was also presented as part of msg.MOEWE when Chancellor Friedrich Merz opened the Synnoscape innovation campus in February 2026.
