Weibel Scientific A/S was founded in 1977 and develops, manufactures and sells Doppler radars at its headquarters in Allerød, Denmark. Its product areas cover instrumentation and tracking radars for test ranges, space and ballistic missile defence tracking, muzzle velocity radars, defence radars and drone detection. According to the company it has supplied more than 6,000 radar systems to customers in over 45 countries. In the 2025/26 financial year it reported revenue of DKK 903 million and grew its workforce from 460 to 609 employees; Peter Hergett Røpke has been CEO since December 2024. North American business is handled by Weibel Scientific North America.

The XENTA product line, introduced in 2020, is intended for short-range air defence and counter-UAS surveillance and is designed to detect and classify low, slow and small aerial targets. In December 2025 the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) ordered four XENTA-M5 radars for the Very Short Range Air Defence capability of the Danish Army's 1st Brigade, mounted on Rheinmetall vehicles and integrated with Terma command-and-control systems, with deliveries planned for 2027 and 2028. Earlier XENTA customers include Thales, which ordered twelve radars in 2022, and Hologarde, which uses XENTA radars for drone detection at the Paris Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget airports.

In October 2026 Weibel announced that the XENTA-M5 had been selected by PIT-RADWAR as the sensor layer of Poland's SAN counter-UAS programme, which combines sensors, command-and-control and effectors within the national air defence system; at EUR 84 million it is the largest order in the company's history. Other defence customers include the U.S. Army, which ordered C-band instrumentation radars in 2026, and the U.S. Navy.
