About Xer Technologies

Xer Technologies AG is a Swiss manufacturer of unmanned aircraft systems with hybrid-electric propulsion. The company traces its origins to a commercial drone services business started in 2011; after an investment by the Singapore-listed Rex International Holding, it was rebranded as Xer Technologies in 2021 and moved its headquarters to Dietikon in the canton of Zurich in early 2023. The parent company Xer Tech Holding AB has been listed on the Spotlight Stock Market in Stockholm since January 2026.

The core product is the X8 PRO multicopter, launched in May 2026 as successor to the X8. A small two-stroke combustion engine drives a generator that powers the electric rotors, giving the aircraft a flight time of roughly three hours while carrying several kilograms of payload. According to the company, the system carries up to 10 kg, covers a mission radius of more than 50 km and can be deployed from a vehicle within a few minutes.

Xer positions the platform for tactical reconnaissance, border and infrastructure surveillance, search and rescue and inspection tasks. The company exhibited the hybrid drone at the DroneVation & Defence 2026 event in Vienna and increasingly addresses defence customers in Europe.
