Zoerkler Gears GmbH & Co KG is based in Jois, Burgenland, and traces its history to a mechanical workshop founded in Vienna in 1898. The company moved to Jois in 2008, where it develops, manufactures, assembles and tests drivetrain systems; it is certified to EN 9100 and operates a helicopter test bench. Since 2025 it has been part of the Xtrac Group of Thatcham, United Kingdom, for which it serves as the European aerospace site. Bernhard Wagner is CEO.

In aerospace, Zoerkler supplies dynamic components and drivetrain systems for helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, jets, eVTOLs and unmanned aerial vehicles. Its product range includes main and tail rotor gearboxes, gearbox units for helicopter drones, drive shafts, accessory gearboxes, oil pumps and thrust gearboxes with integrated electric motors for drones and vertical take-off aircraft. For a civil 6.5-tonne transport helicopter, the company developed the complete drivetrain with main and tail gearboxes and rotor shafts, which received certification in 2021.

For defence, Zoerkler develops and manufactures gearboxes and drivetrain components for military land, air and naval systems. According to the company, its gearboxes are used in armoured vehicles, unmanned systems (UAVs and UGVs) and airborne platforms, and its defence portfolio covers complete gearboxes, gearbox components, oil pumps, positioning systems, gears and precision parts.
