Counter-drone: Drone Shield reports more than 4,000 systems delivered worldwide
Two new individual contracts from the US Department of Defense worth a combined 6.8 million euros take the Australian counter-drone provider past the 4,000-system mark. Portable counter-drone systems are being delivered.

According to its own figures, Drone Shield has now delivered more than 4,000 systems worldwide – another milestone for the Australian counter-drone specialist. It was announced on the occasion of two individual contracts worth a combined 6.8 million euros, under which the US Department of Defense (DoD) receives portable counter-drone systems.
Both delivery and full payment are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. The agreement contains no further contractual conditions and does not commit to any follow-on orders.
Repeat orders for US forces' counter-drone defence
Individual orders from the US Armed Forces had already gone to Drone Shield in the past. According to a current press release, the new orders underpin the company's role “as a reliable provider of mission-critical solutions against the growing threat from drones – in both the military and civilian domains”.
They build on ongoing US Department of Defense programmes in which Drone Shield systems are already in use today.
Matt McCrann, CEO of Drone Shield USA, puts the figure into context: “Passing the mark of 4,000 systems in service is a significant milestone – both for our team and for our customers”. He added: “It demonstrates the performance and reliability of our products and the trust placed in us by those who rely on them every day.”
