Counter-drone for the Pentagon: Droneshield wins Joint Interagency Task Force 401 contract
EUR 21.4 million over five years: Droneshield will supply mobile and fixed counter-drone solutions for the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 and must also procure and install third-party systems.

A contract worth EUR 21.4 million goes to Droneshield : the manufacturer is to support the mission of the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 of the US Department of Defense with counter-drone technology. The initial value accounts for EUR 16.6 million, while a further EUR 4.8 million is available as end-user options over a period of five years.
Droneshield will deliver mobile and fixed counter-drone solutions comprising hardware, subscriptions, warranty and services. The Droneshield hardware comes from already planned production and will be delivered in several tranches in 2026 and 2027.
Beyond its own products, Droneshield is also required under the contract to procure and install interoperable third-party solutions. Payments from the initial value will be made between the second half of 2026 and the first half of 2027.
Of the EUR 16.6 million initial value, the company expects at least EUR 8.6 million in “committed revenue” in the 2026 financial year, with the remainder falling into the 2027 financial year.
This contract demonstrates the growing need for counter-drone capabilities in complex operating environments. Customers are increasingly looking for solutions that combine rapid deployability with persistent airspace surveillance, and Droneshield is very well positioned to meet these requirements with its portfolio of mobile and fixed systems.— Angus Bean, CEO of Droneshield
The contract builds on Droneshield's continued momentum in the US market and underlines the company's role in supporting organisations tasked with protecting personnel, assets, infrastructure and operations against emerging aerial threats— Angus Bean
Bundling counter-drone efforts: the role of Task Force 401
Within the US Department of Defense, the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 leads the synchronisation of counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) efforts across the armed forces. It helps allies and partners to rapidly procure state-of-the-art C-UAS capabilities so that they can respond to the evolving drone threat.
This contract represents another important milestone in Droneshield's growth in the United States and demonstrates the continued confidence in our ability to deliver operationally relevant counter-drone capabilities at scale.— Ray Fitzgerald, President of Droneshield US
