Counter-UAS made in Europe: Droneshield produces its first C-UAS system in the EU
A milestone for Droneshield's supply chain strategy: the first counter-UAS system built in Europe has left production. It relies largely on European suppliers but is to deliver the same performance as the units from Australia.

According to Droneshield , the first counter-UAS system produced in Europe (C-UAS, counter-unmanned aerial system) has successfully left the production line. For the company's global manufacturing and supply chain strategy, this marks an important milestone.
According to the company, the version manufactured in Europe offers “the same proven performance, the same capabilities and the same design as Droneshield's systems produced in Australia”. The supply chains differ: the Australian product continues to rely mainly on suppliers from Australia, whereas the European variant was built under contract manufacturing with a primarily European supply chain. The aim is also to strengthen regional resilience and Europe's sovereign capabilities.
This milestone underlines our commitment to supporting allied nations with locally produced, high-performance counter-UAS systems— Louis Gamarra, Chief Commercial Officer of Droneshield
Gamarra adds: “Customers in Europe now gain access to the same proven Droneshield technology, but manufactured with a supply chain that matches regional industrial policy priorities.” At the same time, he announces: “This is only the beginning, as Droneshield continues to expand its production capacity in Europe. With a strong pipeline of next-generation products, European customers can rely on these capabilities being produced and supported within the EU.”
Counter-UAS in the context of “Readiness 2030”
The pilot series is being delivered at a time of increased investment in expanding Europe's defence industry. One example is the “Readiness 2030” framework programme of the European Union: it is intended to strengthen industrial capacity and accelerate the defence readiness of the member states. With its production in Europe, Droneshield contributes directly to these goals – through shorter delivery times, greater security of supply and closer operational coordination with defence customers on the continent.
The announcement is a further step in Droneshield's expansion in Europe; this also includes the official opening of the company's European headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The system produced in Europe can detect a wide range of unmanned aerial threats with AI support, in both the military and the civilian domain. To meet growing demand in the region, Droneshield expects to expand its manufacturing capacity in Europe further.
