Loitering munition – in German sometimes called “herumlungernde Munition” (lurking munition) – comprises unmanned flying weapons with a warhead that are usually not assigned a specific target at launch, only an operating or search area. During flight they seek out a worthwhile target: either with a man-in-the-loop, i.e. monitored by an operator via radio, or, in more advanced form, AI-controlled. Such an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) thus combines reconnaissance asset and weapon.

Panna Plus hosted a two-day event at the Poček military training area, together with the Slovenian Ministry of Defence and the armed forces' special forces. The company is a regional service provider and integrated solutions supplier for defence, law enforcement and civil security. Technical presentations and live demonstrations showed the latest advances in loitering munitions and counter-measures.
