Loitering munition: Stark signs another contract with a European armed force

Signed in early February, first delivery in the same month, all systems by the end of August: the German defence tech company Stark reports a new order for loitering munition – and its move into a new market.

According to its own statement, Stark, a German company in the defence tech sector, has once again received an order for loitering munition – the contracting partner is an armed force in Europe. As the company has now announced, the order marks “the expansion into a new market and consolidates Stark’s position as a reliable partner for unmanned systems in Europe”.

The contract was signed in early February; the first systems are to be delivered within the same month. The company is thus demonstrating “once again its ability to provide highly effective unmanned systems at very short notice and to respond to acute operational requirements”, the statement continues. Delivery of all ordered systems is to be completed by the end of August.

Why Stark is betting on speed in loitering munition

“Our aim is to be a long-term and reliable partner for allied armed forces. Especially in the current security environment, speed, reliability and a deep understanding of operational reality are decisive. The conclusion of the contract confirms confidence in our technology and in our ability to implement operational requirements quickly and reliably,” emphasises Jan-Patrick Helmsen, Chief Sales Officer at Stark.

Only seven days before the new contract, Stark had announced that it would open an additional site in the Swedish capital Stockholm. The order underlines the company’s strategic focus on Northern Europe. In Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Germany, Stark already cooperates closely with the armed forces and is building production capacity there.
