Military drone R-34-T: Ukrainian Armed Forces introduce airborne laser target designator
The R-34-T military drone is designed to mark targets for artillery and air-launched munitions by laser. It has completed its tests and is now officially approved for units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now officially cleared to use the R-34-T in operations. The military drone is an unmanned aerial platform carrying a laser target designator.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces had requested the system themselves. The drone has passed all test phases and is now ready for combat-related tasks. Its primary role is laser target marking, so that guided weapons – above all artillery and air-launched munition systems – strike with precision.
Because the target is illuminated exactly, guided munitions hit far more reliably – especially at long ranges and against active enemy air defences.
Further features of the R-34-T include secure communication channels, a modular design and high resistance to electronic warfare. It allows resources to be used more efficiently, reduces munition consumption and significantly lowers the risk for operators and combat units alike.
