About Argus Interception

Argus Interception GmbH was founded in 2023 by former Bundeswehr officers and has been based at the airfield in Rotenburg (Wümme), Lower Saxony, Germany, since 2024. The concept originated in the FALKE research project at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, with which the company continues to cooperate.

Its product, the A1-Falke, is an interceptor drone of roughly 25 kilograms with two integrated net launchers, a depth camera and connected radar and lidar. It detects, pursues and captures uncooperative drones autonomously and can carry intercepted aircraft of up to about 15 kilograms to a safe landing spot for forensic examination instead of destroying them. Endurance is stated at 30 to 35 minutes.

The system offers several operating modes such as pursuit, dog-fight, shield and safe filing. It is deployed by the German Federal Police, and in September 2025 the company delivered the first net-capture drone to the Bundeswehr. Argus develops and manufactures in Germany and targets critical infrastructure, government sites, major events and military users.
