About EDGE Group
EDGE Group is an advanced technology and defence conglomerate headquartered in Abu Dhabi and owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi. It was established in November 2019 to consolidate the UAE defence industry and brings together more than 25 entities active in platforms and systems, missiles and weapons, electronic warfare, cyber and trading.
HALCON, one of the group's key subsidiaries, develops and produces guided weapons and unmanned systems. Its products include the Desert Sting family of lightweight precision-guided glide weapons for aircraft and UAVs, the Hunter loitering munitions, whose Hunter 2-S variant operates in AI-coordinated swarms launched from vehicle-mounted containers, and the SkyKnight short-range air defence missile against rockets, artillery, mortars and UAVs.
Other EDGE entities supply the Shadow jet-powered loitering munitions and the REACH-S medium-altitude long-endurance UAV. With SKYSHIELD, developed by its electronic warfare entity SIGN4L, the group also offers a modular, multi-layered counter-UAS system combining radar, electro-optical sensors, direction finding and jamming. In November 2025 EDGE and Anduril Industries announced a joint production alliance.
