About Embention
Embention Sistemas Inteligentes S.A. is an Alicante-based avionics company founded and led by David Benavente. Its main product line is the Veronte Autopilot, offered as a fail-safe 1x unit, a fail-operational 4x unit and a distributed redundant DRx version, complemented by the Veronte Ecosystem with datalinks, magnetometers, motor controllers and tracking antennas. The company says it works to DO-178C, DO-254 and DO-160 and holds EASA POA and APDOA approvals; EASA has approved an ETSO certification basis for the Veronte Autopilot. Embention is listed on Euronext Growth Paris and has opened an office in Los Angeles.
In defence, Veronte autopilots are used in aerial target drones: Kadet Defence Systems of India integrated the Veronte Autopilot into its JX2 NG aerial target for weapon training and evaluation. Embention also develops flight control for loitering munitions and counter-UAS systems. Its Veronte KAI 2.0, a 190-gram flight control computer with a three-layer positioning, navigation and timing architecture, is designed to give one-way attack drones more autonomy in GPS-denied environments.
Beyond unmanned aircraft, the autopilots are used in unmanned ground and surface vehicles and in eVTOL passenger aircraft. In 2026 Embention announced the integration of its Veronte flight control into SkyRunner's MK 3.2 hybrid air-ground vehicle for autonomous take-off and waypoint flight.
