About Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ) is a Polish defence group that brings together nearly 70 companies and describes itself as one of the largest defence concerns in Central Europe. The group has offices in Radom and Warsaw.

On 30 January 2026 PGZ and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace signed a contract with Poland’s Armaments Agency for the SAN counter-UAS programme, which covers 18 counter-drone batteries with guns, missiles and interceptor drones. Advanced Protection Systems supplies the command and control architecture as a subcontractor to PGZ.

On 25 June 2026, at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, PGZ signed a letter of intent with the Ukrainian manufacturer TAF Industries on localising the production of unmanned aircraft and counter-drone systems in Poland. PGZ has stated that it aims to build up capabilities in drones, counter-drone systems and missiles.
