Counter-UAS for Europe: Dzyne Technologies unveils the Dronebuster 4-EU
Adapted to European frequency bands and with an optional PNT attack mode: Dzyne Technologies is launching an EU version of its portable counter-drone system while expanding production in Oregon.

A few days ago, Dzyne Technologies unveiled the Dronebuster 4-EU, an improved version of its portable counter-UAS system. The manufacturer of autonomous defence systems is targeting European customers; the system includes fixed and portable options to detect and visualise drones.
The 4-EU model was developed specifically to operate in the frequency bands allocated in Europe to short-range devices. At the same time, Dzyne is expanding production because demand is growing.
The Dronebuster 4-EU can jam unwanted drones across a wide range of EU-specific frequencies. An optional PNT (position, navigation and timing) attack mode is also available: it is designed to neutralise satellite-guided drones that rely on the GPS, Galileo, Glonass or Beidou constellations.
George Schwartz, EVP of Products at Dzyne, said: “The versatility of the Dronebuster 4-EU enables security personnel across various industries to counter unauthorised drones effectively.” He added: “Our commitment to innovation ensures that we continue to meet the diverse and constantly evolving requirements of our customers worldwide.”
Multi-million contract and more than 2,200 units sold
The company recently signed a contract worth several million euros for Dronebuster with an unnamed customer. According to Dzyne, this once again underlines “the global relevance and operational value of the system”. As further evidence, the manufacturer cites more than 2,200 Dronebuster units sold worldwide; over 1,000 of them are in active operational use with the US armed forces.
CEO Matthew McCue also commented: “The proliferation of drones has created complex security challenges worldwide,” said the head of Dzyne Technologies. “The Dronebuster 4-EU offers security teams and infrastructure operators adaptable, region-specific protection in different environments. To keep pace with rising demand, we have had to significantly increase production and staffing in engineering, manufacturing and business development.”
Applications of the portable counter-UAS system
The region-specific model is tailored to the frequency bands of European short-range devices (SRD). According to the manufacturer, portability has been improved, and the system adds flexible deployment configurations and an integrated detection function – designed for civil, military and infrastructure applications in Europe.
Scenarios range from protecting critical infrastructure and securing stadiums and events to use at airports and the protection of ships and maritime operations. The Dronebuster 4-EU is also intended for border surveillance and the defence of secure facilities such as government buildings or military installations.

When combined with the portable DTIM (Detect, Track, Identify, Mitigate) solution, the system allows a single user to detect drones at up to seven kilometres and engage them precisely at up to 1.5 kilometres or more.
To meet growing demand, Dzyne is also expanding its production facility in Oregon. Streamlined production lines are to increase capacity, while newly created jobs will enlarge the workforce.
