Counter-UAS for Asia: ST Engineering wins several new contracts outside Singapore
Armed forces and critical infrastructure operators in Asia are turning to counter-UAS solutions from ST Engineering. The Singapore-based group reports several new contracts and points to growing demand for integrated solutions.

ST Engineering has booked several new contracts for counter-unmanned aircraft systems (counter-UAS) solutions in Asia outside Singapore in recent months. The Singapore technology group's systems are used in the military sector as well as to protect critical infrastructure.
The projects include an air defence solution and the protection of several critical infrastructure facilities against the growing threat from drones.
Multi-layered counter-UAS in a modular design
The modular system is based on a multi-layered defence concept: sensors, AI-supported command and control systems, and soft-kill and hard-kill effectors work together to detect, identify, track and neutralise unmanned aerial vehicles. Thanks to its modular design, it is suited to military applications as well as to police and site security tasks.

“Counter-UAS capabilities are today an indispensable part of modern defence and security operations”— Low Jin Phang, Chief Operating Officer Defence & Public Security at ST Engineering
As Low Jin Phang went on to explain, the new contracts underline the growing demand for integrated counter-drone solutions.
According to the company, the solution has been validated in extensive tests and under operational conditions. It combines ST Engineering's capabilities in sensors, communications, artificial intelligence and mission systems.
