Podrobnosti
The second edition of Hackathon 54 takes place from 11 to 13 December 2026 at Quartier Estienne in Haguenau near Strasbourg, home of the French Army’s 54th Signals Regiment (54e RT). Organised by the regiment and Artefact Adopt AI with the support of Safran and Iterate, it brings 60 students, engineers and young professionals onto the base for 48 hours.
The challenges start from a field scenario – a convoy moving through contested terrain that must protect itself against drones. Teams work on detection (multi-sensor fusion of radar, acoustic, RF and optical data), interception with friendly drones, intelligence and C2, and protection against the drone threat. Real drones flown by the regiment’s operators serve as the opposing force; hardware such as drones, sensors and computing boards is provided.
Applications are open until 6 November 2026; selected teams are announced on 23 November. Participation is limited to 60 people, requires French nationality and approval by the organisers.
