Drone manufacturer from Ukraine: Quantum Systems initially secures ten per cent of Frontline
With an option on up to 25 per cent, Quantum Systems is taking a stake in Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline from the Brave1 cluster. The focus is on production capacity, European components and the Zoom and Linza reconnaissance drones.

Quantum Systems has taken a strategic stake in Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline, a defence robotics company, and has now made this public. Frontline belongs to the state-funded technology cluster Brave1, which is regarded as an innovation engine for Ukraine’s defence industry.
Under the agreement, Quantum Systems initially acquires ten per cent of Frontline’s shares; within the next twelve months, an option allows the stake to rise to up to 25 per cent. As the company currently states, the partnership aims at deeper cooperation at industrial, technological and strategic level. “At the same time, it underlines the growing integration of the two countries’ defence innovation ecosystems.”
In addition, production capacity in Ukraine is to be expanded and European defence cooperation strengthened.

European components for the drone manufacturer
In Quantum Systems’ assessment, the close cooperation has already had an effect: with the German company’s help, Frontline is increasingly using European components to make its robotic systems more capable and more resilient in combat.
Shortly before, Frontline had closed its seed funding round, raising around 700,000 euros from Ukrainian and international investors, including Nezlamni, Startup Wise Guys, Angel One, Freedom Fund and other undisclosed partners. Around six months passed from the first pitch at the Brave1 Investor Demo Day to the closing.
The fresh capital is to go into a further production ramp-up and specifically into key technologies. These are, on the one hand, Zoom and Linza – multirotor reconnaissance drones often called “Ukrainian Mavics” – and, on the other, a novel kinetic counter-drone system. Both technologies are in high demand and play a key role on today’s battlefield.
A model for German-Ukrainian defence integration
The press release describes the investment as “a clear commitment to Frontline’s technological capability and execution – and a further step towards closer German-Ukrainian defence cooperation”. The aim is to jointly build a scalable, cross-border model for industrial defence integration in Europe.
For Quantum Systems, Co-CEO Florian Seibel said: “Ukraine demands the highest quality not only in defence products but also in their industrial production. Quantum Systems and Frontline are committed to both. Our deepened partnership expresses this shared ambition. Together we are proud to lead the way as pioneers of a Euro-Ukrainian defence industry.”
Frontline CEO Yevhenii Tretiakave said: “Quantum Systems coming on board as a strategic investor is a decisive milestone for Frontline. This partnership goes far beyond financial resources – it reaffirms our shared vision and accelerates our mission to scale combat-proven technologies and feed direct feedback from the front line into the next generation of military robotics.”
