Unmanned systems technology: Quantum Systems' Mosaic UXS software suite unites platforms from several vendors
One operator, many platforms: Quantum Systems presents Mosaic UXS, a command-and-control solution in unmanned systems technology to control its own and third-party drones and unmanned ground and maritime platforms together – without vendors disclosing their intellectual property.

Mosaic UXS is the name of the software suite whose market launch Quantum Systems announced today. According to the manufacturer, the suite transforms the way military and security organisations can control and monitor unmanned systems from a wide range of vendors across domain boundaries – a new step in unmanned systems technology.
In its latest press release, Quantum Systems emphasises that the software addresses a “critical operational challenge”. It is said to offer “unified mission planning and execution across all domains, while integrating seamlessly into existing command and control systems”.
Martin Karkour, Chief Sales Officer at Quantum Systems, describes the problem behind this: “Current drone operations lead to considerable resource constraints.” His answer to it: “Mosaic UXS enables a single operator to simultaneously control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), unmanned ground vehicles and maritime assets from us and third-party vendors, without manufacturers having to disclose proprietary IP.”
According to the company, the suite was designed with the aim of “delivering comprehensive situational pictures while reducing the cognitive load on users across all mission types and scales”.
Mosaic UXS available now
According to Quantum Systems, the platform is available with immediate effect to defence and security customers.
Karkour puts the step into context as follows: “This launch represents our strategic evolution from a manufacturer of unmanned systems to a comprehensive solutions provider.” He added: “We enable truly autonomous operations across multiple domains that multiply effectiveness and tactical advantages while reducing the operational burden.”
Florian Seibel, Co-CEO of Quantum Systems, highlighted how strongly the platform relies on collaboration: “We take great care to prevent vendor lock-in through an open SDK/API architecture. Mosaic UXS is designed for rapid iteration and integration of third-party hardware and software – whether strike modules, navigation without GPS, mesh networks or BMS interfaces. Most importantly, real feedback from our team in Ukraine (-> latest news from the war in Ukraine) and from frontline operations has gone into the development of Mosaic UXS.”
