Long-range drone Reliant: Quantum Systems increases payload and integrates Mosaic UXS
Up to 9 kilograms of payload, networked multi-domain operations and a supply chain without Chinese components: Quantum Systems has substantially further developed its long-range drone Reliant in a new generation.

Quantum Systems has presented a substantially upgraded generation of its long-range drone Reliant. The new generation carries more payload, allows more flexibility on missions and is fully integrated into the Mosaic UXS software ecosystem.
Reliant has a hybrid-electric drive and is designed for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL); the payload is now up to 9 kilograms. Depending on the mission, it can thus carry electro-optical sensors, laser target designators, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), SIGINT payloads and electronic warfare (EW) payloads, or SATCOM and relay modules.
Despite the added capabilities, the logistic footprint remains small: two people handle transport and set-up, one operator the flight. Because it is a VTOL system, a take-off and landing zone of ten by ten metres is sufficient.
Long-range drone for networked operations
Crucially, Reliant is fully integrated into Mosaic UXS, allowing it to fly in networked multi-domain operations alongside air, land and maritime systems. In addition to the platform, Quantum Systems also provides ground control stations, training, maintenance and life-cycle support.
Within the company’s so-called “Family of Aerial Systems”, Reliant covers the upper end of the operational spectrum as the long-range solution; Twister is available for short ranges and Vector AI for medium ranges. According to the manufacturer, the drone is already tailored to large international procurement programmes.
Quantum Systems highlights its entirely European supply chain. Reliant is said to be built without Chinese components or ITAR restrictions – meant to make the platform more attractive to customers who value sovereignty and security of supply.
Feedback from military users and partners underpins the development, according to Martin Karkour, Chief Revenue Officer of Quantum Systems. In combination, high payload, greater range and a resilient supply chain are intended to make Reliant a distinctive capability on the market.
