Unmanned systems are at the centre of two further joint ventures that Quantum Systems announced on the occasion of the German-Ukrainian government consultations in Berlin. Both are part of the "Build with Ukraine" initiative and further expand industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The first was Quantum Frontline Industries, successfully launched with Frontline Robotics, a Ukrainian manufacturer. Two new joint ventures now follow: Quantum WIY Industries is to strengthen air defence capabilities alongside WIY Drones, while Quantum Tencore Industries focuses on unmanned ground systems together with Tencore.

Interceptor drones for Ukraine's air defence

Quantum WIY Industries (QWI) is based on the recently announced partnership between WIY Drones and Quantum Systems. The joint venture focuses on the further development and scaling of air defence capabilities – above all interceptor drones and the associated technologies.

From the very beginning, our company's mission has been to provide protection – for our country, our infrastructure, our homes and ultimately for the world against attacks. What may look like a small signature on a document is a contribution to making the skies over Ukraine safer. We are very grateful to our German partners and the Quantum Systems team for their trust and support— CTO of WIY Drones

The QWI announcement was preceded by an order placed with Quantum Systems by the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine: 15,000 interceptor drones of the Strila type, manufactured by WIY Drones, are to be delivered.

Unmanned systems on the ground

With Quantum Tencore Industries (QTI), Quantum Systems is extending "Build with Ukraine" to land and ground systems. Together with Tencore, the new company intends to produce combat-proven unmanned ground systems in larger numbers.

The future of defence takes place across all domains. With Quantum Tencore Industries, we are combining real operational experience from Ukraine with advanced autonomy and industrial capability to shape the next generation of unmanned ground systems.— Hendrik Kramer, Vice President Land Domain at Quantum Systems
This partnership goes beyond technology – it is about pooling strengths. No company and no country can shape the future of unmanned systems alone. Only through genuine partnership do we have a real chance of success. Together, we are developing solutions that strengthen our countries and, above all, protect and support the Ukrainian armed forces on the ground.— Roman Tkachenko, co-founder and CBDO of Tencore

The initiative is driven by Quantum Systems' overarching strategy: the aim is to build a multi-domain portfolio in which air and ground capabilities merge into an integrated, combat-proven technological ecosystem.

The two announcements were preceded by the successful founding of Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), operated with Frontline Robotics – the first European joint venture under the "Build with Ukraine" umbrella. Within a short time of its launch, QFI moved from a mere announcement to production. This demonstrates how scalable and effective the German-Ukrainian model of joint manufacturing is.

Ukraine's defence shows how crucial unmanned systems have become for modern armed forces. Through our joint ventures and close cooperation with Ukrainian partners, we are bringing this combat-proven expertise into German and European industrial structures, thereby making a concrete contribution to strengthening defence capabilities in Ukraine and across Europe— Matthias Lehna, Vice President at Quantum Systems
